Contemporary+ Jazz Music Schools?
I am a guitarist of 6 years, a Sophomore in High School living in New Jersey. I am interested in many forms of contemporary music, jazz, rock, folk, etc, and I’d like to go to a good music school after I graduate here.
1. What are the schools with the best guitar departments? For performance and possibly education specialties?
2. Are there any of these schools in the San Francisco Bay Area? My mom grew up in San Mateo and I’ve visited dozens of times and would like to move out there at some point, and it’d be good if it could be after high school, and not later. But if there isn’t much, I’d go elsewhere and leave later.

North Texas has a good jazz program. But I’m sure there are good school in CA. Just do some research on the net, go visit a few schools to see what they offer.
