ideas for a jazz poster?
we are required to include the history of the genre, artist (i chose ella fitzgerald) and an instrument (i chose saxophone)
my poster’s colours are black as the background then yellow and purple,,
what things does relate to jazz,, everytime you hear the word jazz, what is the first thing yu can think of?
what can you relate to ella fitzgerald like the walk of fame, grammy awards, what else?
how can i show a picture of a saxophone with being unique??
what can i add??? im putting musical bars and notes on it….
Instead of only showing a picture of a saxophone, show people playing a saxapohone. Some greats include John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, and Sonny Rollins.
It may be helpful for the class to hear jazz music instead of just seeing notes.
If you are covering the harlem in your project, there are some great harlem renaissance art pieces that show musicians that could enhance the beauty of your project. There are also more modern artists like Frank Morrison.
I’m guessing your history has to outline quite a bit of history, so be sure that you are mentioning key figures that kept the music changing.
