I need smaller venues in San Francisco: world music, bluegrass, jazz, jam bands, blues etc.?
I’ll be in San Francisco from March 17-22 and need to find good music! I like smaller bluegrass bands like Trampled by Turtles, world music- particularly reggae, gypsy, & west African. Psychedelic stuff is good too.
Blues venues:
The Saloon on Grant at Columbus the oldest bar in SF!
The Boom Boom Room on Fillmore at Geary
Lou’s on Union and Stockton or at piers
Jazz venues:
Rassalas, 1300 or Yoshi’s on Fillmore near Geary. This is the newly revamped Jazz district of SF.
